I have to say I enjoyed my Christmas weekend. Spent Christmas Eve with the Le’s and Nguyen’s and then Christmas day with the Chhith’s. Both families were gracious enough to have me over and include me in their festivities. Both families also know how to get their cook on. Lobster from Newport Tan Cang Seafood Restaurant (thanks Ron) on Christmas coupled with grandma’s cooking, a winning combination.

Tis the season to celebrate and eat which is what I did this passed Saturday at Karen’s. She held a potluck and I contributed with my pasta salad which joined other goodeliciousness that others brought. After everyone had their fill we did a white elephant gift exchange with Karen’s homemade rules. Her three switch-a-roo rule made for an extended exchange which left everyone unsure of what they’d actually end up with. No matter, I’m happy with the Panini griller I ended up with.
